How we collect, use and protect your personal and health information. Last updated: July 2026.
DartfordHomePhysio is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your information when you use our website or services.
DartfordHomePhysio provides home-based physiotherapy across Dartford, Bexley, Eltham, Greenwich, Gravesend, Thurrock and surrounding areas.
When you contact us or book an appointment, we may collect your contact details (name, email, phone number, postcode/address) and health information (the reason for your enquiry, relevant medical history, current medications, treatment goals, and clinical notes made during your care). Health information is "special category data" under UK data protection law and is given extra protection.
We use your information to respond to enquiries, arrange and deliver your physiotherapy care, keep accurate clinical records (a legal and professional requirement), and communicate with you about appointments and treatment. We do not use your information for marketing without your consent, and we never sell your data.
We process your contact details to take steps to enter into and perform a contract with you (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). We process your health information for the provision of healthcare (Article 9(2)(h)) and, where you have given it, with your explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a)).
If you contact us via WhatsApp or text message, those messages are stored on your device and on ours, and are handled under WhatsApp's own privacy terms as well as this policy. We use these channels for general enquiries, appointment arrangements and practical questions.
Please do not send health information, medical documents, photographs of injuries or other sensitive personal details by WhatsApp or SMS. If you do send clinical information this way, we will transfer the relevant details into your secure clinical record and delete the message once it is no longer needed. For anything clinical, please use the enquiry form on our website, email us, or call 0333 041 0477.
Your information is not shared with third parties except: with your GP, consultant or other healthcare professionals where relevant to your care and with your agreement; with our secure IT and website providers who process data on our behalf; or where required by law.
Clinical records are retained for 8 years after your last treatment (or until age 25 for children), in line with healthcare record-keeping guidance. Enquiry details from people who do not become patients are deleted within 12 months.
Your data is stored securely with access limited to those involved in your care. Our website contact form is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
You have the right to access a copy of your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion (subject to our legal record-keeping duties), object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@dartfordhomephysio.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Our website uses only essential cookies required for it to function.
